Summer’s in full swing here in Tahoe and we’re not slowing down at TAMBA.  We’ve got all sorts of fun events lined up including races, rides, camping, trail building days and a film / presentation benefit.  Read more below and come on out and to have some fun with TAMBA!

July 14 – Kirkwood Mountain Classic  (XC and Super D mountain bike races).
The Sierra Cup Series is making a stop at Kirkwood on July 14th for the Kirkwood Mountain Classic cross country and Super-D races.  All proceeds from the events will be donated to TAMBA.  TAMBA members can also use coupon code “TAMBA” to get $10 off their online registration before July 1st!  Are you up for racing both events as part of the “Tahoe All-Mountain Championships”? See online reg for details.  We also need a handfull of volunteers to help make it happen.  If you’d like to help out, let us know – Volunteers get lunch and a T-shirt.

July 19 – Rebecca Rusch, Live in Person!
Come see endurance athlete Rebecca Rusch speak about her world record 142 mile ride on the Kokopelli trail from Moab, UT to Fruita CO with film and slide show by Corey Rich & Dane Henry.  6pm at Sports LTD in South Lake Tahoe.  $15 (refreshments included) with all proceeds to benifit TAMBA.   Raffle prizes too!

July 19, 20, 21 – MTB Tahoe Camp, Build and Ride weekend.
This is a fun filled weekend of everything mountain bikes based around camping with fellow riders.  For more info and to sign up for the camping click HERE.

July 20 – New Monument Trail Build Day
For over the last year the US Forest Service has been working on a new trail connecting the top of Cold Creek Trail to the Tahoe Rim Rim Trail at Monument Pass.  We’ll be riding up to check it out and also help build a portion.  This is your chance to be a part of new Tahoe trail building history!  Meet at 9am at the High Meadow dirt road gate.  Free lunch and post work BBQ provided.

July 26th – Volunteers needed for Ragnar race
We’ve partnered with the Ragnar Trail Relay Run happening at Sierra-at-Tahoe.  We are their non-profit beneficiary but we need to rally some volunteers to make it happen!  We’ll get a $120 donation per volunteer!  We need 25 volunteers on Friday, July 26 from 8am-5pm.  Do the math and that’s $3k!  Since we’re still working on raising the Saleforce Foundation match to build Corral Trail, that $3,000 will turn into $6,000!  TAMBA Volunteers get an event t-shirt as well as a TAMBA bag of goodies including a TAMBA pint glass, TAMBA socks, TAMBA water bottle and a gift card for a free bike tune-up at Sports LTD!  Jobs include staffing the registration/check-in table, helping runners find their campsite, and parking cars in the parking lots.  Sign up on the Ragnar volunteer page.  Thanks in advance for helping us help trails!
