Kirkwood Classic Super D
The Kirkwood Mountain Classic is back with a Super-D on Saturday afternoon, July 28 and the Cross-Country race on Sunday, July 29. Kirkwood offers high elevation trails, beautiful scenery and lift served riding. Escape the heat of summer and come to the cool country. For those staying the night on Saturday, the 7800′ Bar and Grill will be hosting a race party including live music and MTB flicks just yards from the Start/Finish.
Both races are part of the Sierra Cup Regional Championship series for Northern California and Nevada. The XC is a qualifier for 2013 MTB Nationals. Super-D entry is $35 and includes a lift ticket, XC entry is $35 or $25 for Women and Juniors and includes lunch.
The race is a fundraiser for the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association. TAMBA members receive a $10 discount on registration as an extra member benefit. You can purchase a membership through online registration.
