TAMBA t-shirts are in
The Amgen Tour of California is here! We have some TAMBA T-shirts printed and will be selling them for $20 at our booth at the “Y” in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday, May 15. Watch the race go by and stop by to say Hi! These shirts are likely to go fast. We didn’t print many, because, well, we’re still operating on a shoestring and a prayer. We will also be taking memberships ($10) if you aren’t an official TAMBA member yet.
TAMBA has committed to working a rest stop at the Legends Ride on Saturday, May 14 during the Amgen TOC weekend. This is a great opportunity for us to not only get our name out there, but also raise some much needed funds to help us get off the ground. We need a handful of volunteers to join us and work the rest stop at the top of Spooner. We would need two people to pick up the truck in SLT around 6-7am in the morning and take it to Spooner and four more people to meet at the rest stop around 9:30am. Everyone should be done by 4pm. If you can help, please e-mail Lauren at LLindley at pearlizumi dot com or at 530-541-9044.
What: Corral Trail public meeting
Where: USFS building at 35 College Drive in South Lake Tahoe
When: April 28th from 6pm to 8pm
Corral Trail will be getting even better this year. The USFS has hired professional trail and bike park designers Hilride to solicit input and ideas on how to improve Corral with added features and flow. A public meeting will be held at the USFS building at 35 College Drive in South Lake Tahoe on April 28th from 6pm to 8pm. Please bring your ideas and input on how you think Corral Trail can be transformed into an iconic trail, your ideas will be heard.
It is important to voice our ideas as mountain bikers on this project because it will set the stage for future opportunities to directly give the USFS input on the design of trails in Tahoe. Corral trail has received a lot of attention over the last couple years because it is one of the only trails approved for such improvements in Tahoe, even if you think it is “good enough” it can still be better.
